I normally used to publish my work on Scribd, though I can earn money out of Scribd but it does not market my paper neither gives me a patent, I was then going through various options on how to publish my work online and found grin. The publishing website GRIN.com offers students, graduates and university professors the ideal platform for the presentation of scientific texts, such as research projects, theses, dissertations, and academic essays to a wide audience.

I have  put a video in the bottom of the page which expalins how it works. The authors are free to decide if they receive monetary benefits from their work, or to simply contribute their publication for the use of others. With up to four million visitors per month, GRIN reaches a huge audience.

Authors are allowed to publish their works as books with an ISBN and high royalties for every sale. The books are available via hundreds of distribution channels like Amazon, Google Books or stationary book stores. GRIN Publishing has published over 60.000 books and 120.000 ebooks by now.

For the authors, there is no cost associated with the publishing of materials.
My personal favorite is royalties because once the papers starts getting sold you can even make money.
Bachelor’s or master’s thesis, essays, term papers, dissertations. We can Publish all the work as an eBook or printed book – all for free.

I even searched about GRIN Publishing, and found out that Grin is located in Munich, Germany, has specialized since its foundation in 1998 in the publication of academic papers.
They say that
Knowledge has value. Why not Share it! and earn too With ISBN, worldwide.

They also state that authors have earned over 5 million Euros in royalties. A GRIN author can also earn quarterly payments of up to 40% on all sales.

I personally have not yet started earning since I just joined, but I thought what is the harm in publishing the paper rather than the work getting wasted in the hard disk and it is also smarter to publish it before  some one else gets a similar idea and does a similar paper and takes the credit. Its always not about the money but about your ideas.
The video below explains how they work .
