10 Easy Cocktails for the Cocktail Party in Wels, Upper Austria.

Since we plan to organize a cocktail hopping party, where we all make some cocktails, I just thought of making a post regarding the 10 most easy cocktails which is not hard to make and is comparatively cheap, just in case you are avoiding to host thinking it is a lot of hard work or may be too expensive to host one cocktail, then this may motivate you.  I have also attached a link which gives a description of how to make 404 different cocktails including non alcoholic cocktails.  I will rank first ten as per my liking from bottom to top( individual preferences may Vary)...

It is basically a Sex on the Beach, minus the orange juice. Its a good one to make in bulk at parties because pretty much everyone likes it.

  • 4 parts cranberry juice
  • Ice

You can add a slice of peach to complete the look.

9 . Bellini

An Italian drink, this cocktail gained its name because its colour resembled a toga-wearing figure in a painting by Giovanni Bellini.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Peach Schnapps

Add Grenadine for a stronger splash of colour.

The name means literally 'something wet'.

Coffee liquor and vodka help this drink pack a powerful punch. Perfect as an after snacks cocktail (for anyone that refined).

You can also mix it with Cola ( can be clever one too) if you find it a bit intense!

  • 1 part Cranberry Juice
  • Dash of Lime Juice
You can also garnish it with a flamed orange for added citrus kick.

5 . Margarita

A bit of a love or hate cocktail - some people enjoy the refreshing zing, others find it way too sour. You can always add sugar to sweeten it up.

Ingredients:

  • 7 parts Tequila
  • 4 parts Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 3 parts Lime Juice

Add a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it in salt for a true Margarita experience.

4 . Martini

A Gin-heavy cocktail that's not for the faint-hearted. Winston Churchill  described it as 'the elixir of quietude' (I think it just means it makes you pass out?)

Ingredients:

  • 5 parts Gin
  • 1 part Vermouth

You can garnish the old with a single olive or as bunch of olives with a tooth pic.

3 . Sea Breeze

A long cocktail just made for lazing round on the poolside or at least imagining that we have a pool at our houses in Wels ...

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Vodka
  • 3 parts Cranberry Juice
  • 1 part Grapefruit Juice

You can use Pineapple Juice instead of Grapefruit to make it a Hawaiian Sea Breeze.

2 . Tequila Sunrise

Another one that makes us feel like we should be on a holiday in the beaches of India or the mountains of Austria.

Ingredients:

  • 3 parts Tequila
  • 6 parts Orange Juice
  • 1 part Grenadine (never stir it - let it sink to the bottom!)

1 . Jungle Juice

This is a very basic recipe. You can add to it whatever you like, one of my specialities and Favorites !

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle Vodka / Rum
  • 3 cartons fruit juice
  • 1½ l lemonade
  • Fresh fruit

Chop up a selection of fruit (apples, oranges, grapes, melons) and place in the bottom of a clean plastic bin. Add the vodka and leave to soak for about 12 hours. Add the fruit juice and lemonade and served in tall glasses with ice. You can even put LED lights in the serving bowl.
